As you travel through the sectors, you'll come across Ancient Structures marked with orange glyphs. With the ancient structure glyph equipped, these structures will become visible in zones bearing the symbol. Two ancient structures will always generate in each new run, never in the same sector, and never in sectors 1 or 6.

Using Warp Gates

Warp gates are a convenient way to traverse the galaxy, using no fuel like Jump Gates and wormholes. They can skip up to 7 zones, typically jumping at least 2. Sometimes, warp gates located in penultimate zones of a sector can even bypass an entire sector. Ancient Splitters may or may not spawn in these skipped sectors.

Once all glyphs are unlocked, the monolith will yield Dark Matter or Dark Energy instead of ancient structures. However, it will still activate the warp gate at its top. In subsequent Ancient Depot zones, the Warden will already be spawned.
